Woolite harsh? First I've heard of it, I've had great luck with it. But always willing to learn, and I seem to do that a lot around here. I spend a little time poking around to confirm that or debunk it as an urban legend, but I haven't found much that seems authoritative. Any no kidding detergent engineers out there? Is there a WikiSuds industry reference that can weigh in and scrub this clean? I wouldn't want toe the line being closed-minded about everything I've "known" for all these years, but neither do I believe everything I read (here or anywhere).
