Can't be any worse than the Bontrager Race saddle that was on the Trek 2.3 I just sold.

However, a bad saddle is a bad saddle. The new R3 I'm waiting on comes with the Arione...crap! I'll give it a go for the heck of it, but I'll probably end up ditching it in favor of a cut-out saddle. I suggest you do the same since you clearly have numbness going on. Numbness in the junk is definitely a bad thing.
