Heck, the components are worth more than $1500! If the frame is "too light" or whatever, you still have a good deal.
I don't see anything odd about it. Ugly.....I guess if you don't like blue. It's just your basic run-of-the-mill ultra-light XC race bike.
You'd have to work pretty darn hard to build up a bike like that for less using ebay parts. Yeah, if you optimized every price........but it could take months of scrounging to do that.
Yeah, I guess people do equate black with good, silver with cheap for some reason. I had a guy the other day at work look at my new silver Chris King headset and ask me why I didn't get a "better one" to go along with my new "good" SID Team forks (black), Ritchey WCS stem and bar ends (black) and carbon bar (black). He asked the same thing about my Avid SD7 SL brakes (silver). Some people have no manners.....
