Thanks all, I finally chose to toss my merino sweater in a mesh bag and send it through the wash. Air dried.

So nice to know its clean. It was creepy how much sweat was in it and it never smelled so I would just keep wearing it. Too bad the bugs ate holes in it at some point. I need to get cedar chips.
