I'm leaving on a trip tomorrow and taking my 2 bikes with me. Thing is, today's high temp is -3F, and it only barely begins to warm up during the day tomorrow.

Will the extreme temperature compromise the strength of my trunk rack, perhaps making either the metal tubing or nylon strapping more brittle? My rack isn't particularly heavy duty, but I'd have to imagine they're all a little overbuilt.
