I've had a few. Whether or not to go full face for MTB. Stuff like that.
I think many bike helmets are underbuilt for what people expect from them, but they have to be underbuilt to get people to wear them on a regular basis. Protection levels always involve tradeoffs. Reasonable comfort vs. safety in a crash. You can't max out both at the same time.
I'm not sure why you want to discuss this here rather than one of the custom made helmet threads.
What does this have to do with road cycling?
