This is correct. All Shimano 10-speed cassettes have deeper grooves to clear the taller splines on the 7800-series hubs and also work on older 8/9/10-speed hubs.

SRAM 10-speed cassettes have the former depth grooves and will work on any 8, 9, or "standard" 10-speed hub but not on the 7800 or the 10-speed only Dura Ace and Ultegra pre-built wheel sets.
