How do you guys (at least the 2 of you that mentioned it) stretch on the bike? Any tips?
Just the mechanics of it is difficult for me. Quads and calves are my essentials, and I find to get a good stretch I have to stop.
It's pretty much useless for me to stretch beforehand, but stretching after 15 or 20 minutes of easy riding is extremely helpful for me personally.
I haven't had problems with my quads, but my calves get kinda testy on me sometimes. What I do is stop pedaling, stand, let one foot go to the bottom of the pedal stroke, and let my ankle sag down as far as it'll go comfortably. Give it about ten seconds, and switch sides. I do it about every half hour or hour, depending on need. I'll stretch my quads when I stop.
