If a factory puts out enough "factory seconds" to supply the entire unbranded industry I wouldn't ride the factory brand either.
Do you know how many frames companies are making? Or what percentage of them are kicked from the final market batch? It's not that the unbranded carbon has it's own industry, but rather that it may be integrated into the actual regular branded company industry. Let's use Giant as an example. The only figure I know off the top of my head was that in 2007 Giant sold 5 million bikes. No guesses on how many they produced. If they rejected and arbitrary %1 of them that's still 50,000 frames. Where do they go? The garbage dump in Taiwan?
