02/05: Century: Elfin Forest-Lake Wohford-Old Castle-Circle R-Couser Canyon-San Luis Rey Bikepath-PCH. It felt like a lot more climbing than 5800 feet. Riding on Valley Center's rough, narrow roads with diesel-spewing trucks ain't much fun, but it felt good to get back to Carlsbad's wide, smooth, stoplight-free roads on PCH.

02/04: Cruised to downtown SD from Carlsbad. 3 flat tires in one day, and time lost walking, meant I had to take the train to get back home before dark.
