Grease the lockring threads.

If you use something like a Park SR-1 with a lockring tool, you will hear/feel the lockring click/create friction once it gets locked tight. I just go a few clicks until there is no play in the cassette.

If you are using a Mavic rear wheel, remember to install the Mavic spacer before the cassette.
