I do some of both, including leading group rides. Group rides are great for socializing, meeting new people, learning other people's favorite routes, chasing down the hammer heads, working on paceline skills, etc. Solo rides are great for exploring on your own, enjoying the scenery, working on a specific training program, riding on your schedule, etc.
