I was riding a couple of days ago doing a real hard workout. I wasn't looking too far ahead, just concentrating on being aero and pedaling, so I was staying off to the shoulder as much as was reasonable given my speed and its condition. I was going down a straightaway and a lot of cars were heading against me. Out of nowhere, a car in the back of the line got into my lane, sped up to 75 and passed the line of cars, almost hitting me head on and scaring the crap out of me in the process. I looked back and saw him doing it again to other cars farther up.

I don't know what the guys intentions were, but I've been slowly getting angry knowing that his negligence and aggressiveness could have lead to my death.

How would you go about keeping people from pulling stuff like this? I was thinking maybe get farther into the lane, but if the guy didn't see me I would have been roadkill for sure. Is there even any way to keep a driver coming at you from pulling something like this?
