Look at it this way...if you buy the Veloce, someday you may be disappointed in yourself for not getting the better looking, lighter, absolute top of the line Record shifters (even if you don't have a "use" for the top of the line--who needs a practical use for them really, they look nice, they work, and they're the best--they're almost like fine art--nuff said). If you buy the Veloce and that day comes--you'll need to spend another almost $300 to get the Record shifters. In other words--you'll actually save yourself a lot more money if you buy them now!!
