First post here! I've been lurking for quite some time, but finally finished my build (more or less, I still my get some nicer wheels).

Story goes as such: I did the Craigslist hustle. Sold my grandfathers old '78 Sekai for $200, decent bike, but it was a tank... ~30lbs.

Found this guy on CL and bought it for $100:



I sold the original wheels, and with that money was able to get RavX bar tape, an AllCity chainring, new black & white chain, and Vader Saddle. I got the wheels/pedals/cages for free from a friends old build.

In the end, it cost me ~$17. I weigh 186lbs, and the bike is roughly 24lbs. I'm very happy with it at the moment, but again I may get some nicer/lighter wheels soon.
