A previous thread reminded me of a problem I've had with local businesses. No Bicycle racks nearby. I always ask to speak with the manger of the shop to suggest they install bike racks outside, and am usually told they are already in the works. Sadly they never seem to appear. Maybe more of us need to ask for them. Do you think it'll do any good? Has it worked for anyone else?
