what type of riding do you intend to do? recently bought a CR1 from Scott and it has made me a believer in carbon. went with it after Roubaix and Tarmac rides. very stiff laterally but surprisingly vertically compliant as the industry speak goes I believe. of course for strictly hard core racing then the Addict line is the way to go. funny but same for me, just one day I knew it was time to stop fighting it. I too had a CAAD9, which I sold to finance the CR1.
