I'm curious as to how many others simply walk their bikes into the business.
Since taking up bicycling I've been using my bike more and more rather than my car to run errands, and in so doing I discovered what I, as a car operator, had never noticed before. Not only are there no bike racks anyplace I go other than the library, there are no signs, poles, trees, or any other structure that I can see within eyeshot that is suitable for locking my bike to.
So, I simply go inside with it - in the bank, the grocery, the hardware store, the drug store, the auto parts store, etc. So far (only six months) not an employee, manager, or other customer has said boo. That's perhaps understandable at the grocery where after all carts go up and down the aisles after being outside, but even the bank folks have said nothing as I walk in with it, set it up on it's kickstand out of the traffic flow, and conduct my business.
I would actually prefer to lock it outside, but, as I said, there's nowhere to do it.
Anyone else take it inside almost everywhere?
