Personally I`m dropping this thread

Weight is also a consideration, so I've decided to try the Velo Orange Left Bank 23.8mm aluminum bars first and if they're not stiff enough then I'll try something steel (probably wald because I doubt they're any heavier or less stiff than steel nittos despite being 1/4 the price). Hopefully the thicker walls and larger diameter (compared to my current bars) will be enough and I won't have to resort to heavy steel.

Fortunately, expensive heat treated bars don't need to be considered because I'm not worried about snapping the bars, just the noodly feel when sprinting.
Most people are on this forum because they either genuinely need some help or are trying to help out.

After checking the postings started by yourself and a few other members on here, I`ve decided that some people are just here for their own amusement.

So seriously Chucky. if you consider yourself qualified enough to design and build your own frame - I really don`t see where you need any help agonizing over weither to buy a $14 chrome plated handlebar or a $39 plain alloy version.

Sorry, I have other things I `d rather do
