baxtefer/luckycat: if that makino weren't all crazy sized i'd tell you to snatch it up. for anyone who doesn't know, makino was yoshi konno's factory manager when 3rensho was still in the biz. he (and i assume konno also) oversaw the building of all 3rensho frames. after 3rensho closed, makino took over and started making frames under his own name. i would probably put them up there with any kalavinka or 3rensho frame as far as quality, and whenever i see one pop up on e-framebank it usually gets snatched up pretty fast.

one word of advice i can give is make sure the frame isn't dented (unless you don't mind). a lot of the frames on e-framebank have dented top tubes, which is why they've been given up for sale. make sure you check the google translation of the description.

Most dents are small. Japanese won't sell anything with major dents or crimps unless you plead with them They consider major damage unsafe. We consider them a bargain.
