I forgot to ask, but I'm curious if anyone has experience with direct mounting using the threaded holes on the back of the light engine. My intentions are using fastners to screw the light flat onto my cargo rack's rear plate (it has 50 and 80mm spacings). I think, if it looks a bit iffy doing so, I can stick with using one of the many provided mounts that accomodate "round" tubing, posts etc. Dinotte advertises, albeit briefly, that this light can be direct mounted. I like the idea of leaving it bolted onto the bike, parking the bike at night's end, plugging in the charger, get up the following day with a fresh light and no worries about carrying spare batteries.

Also, since my intentions are long rides, I'm thinking I'll order it with the 4-cell pack to ensure I've got the juice for those lengthy rides.
