I would recommend to test ride both. I have an allez and a caad9 they are both nice so pick the one you personally feel you like better. I am not quite sure what people are arguing about on this page, but to be honest whether a bike has heritage, BB30, having pros win on them, or whatever people are trying to argue none of those factors will make you faster. So pick the bike you will enjoy riding on more. Of course unless you are looking for street cred or a bike to show off to people, because there are a lot of other bikes that do those better than these bikes. For the most part riding and training makes you faster not your groupset or your bikes heritage. Besides everyone knows that having a bike you like is the most important. And tbh I think the new allez look pretty nice.
