The last time I shipped an antique watch to Japan it went in a 6"-cubed box, weighed less than a pound, and cost about $15. That was USPS and more than a year ago so they may want a kidney or something these days.
+ that mate! I had to give up on getting stuff here from companies or eBay sellers who insist on using freight companies like FedEx DHL etc. I go 1st class postal service or just forget it. And the post is bad enough and often you have add on insurance, registration etc.
