Took me two weeks to even remotely start feeling better - and I followed advice to a tee. Cold compresses, rest, etc. I recall HATING the discoloration (I wasn't expecting that!) and I remember taking showers being painful the first couple of days.

I had the one week checkup and I remarked that it felt like I had been kicked in the testicles - FOR A WEEK! That pain was just always there. After 14 days things started returning to normal. A month later I was fine.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE THREE MONTH TEST DONE!!!! I have a friend who didn't and he has another child now! I went exactly after three months and I was cleared.

To the gentleman who said he couldn't imagine doing that to his body; doing what? There is no physical pain at all now, no noticeable difference in anything I do and it makes sex unreal. I don't want to get too crude here but what kind of protection are you using? Wife on the pill? That causes all kinds of trouble - hormones, weight gain, and many unknowns. Condoms? Ick. IUD? Seriously? Rhythym method? Enjoy your next kid! Abstinence? Just kidding!

We had our child and knew that was it for us. At 40 years old I was done with the kid thing and wanted to enjoy an awesome and spontaneous relationship with my wife - with no surprises and no worries. Trust me - women appreciate it. Well, mine did!

Sorry for the graphic answer. You'll be good to go in two weeks.
