I often mix a little juice or squeeze a bit of lemon or lime into my water. Not much. It can help hide the plastic flavor.

I did this as usual this past summer for when I cycled the bike portion of a triathlon. For some reason related to my effort, I guess, the water tasted disgustingly sweet, and I couldn't drink it. I don't understand what happened, and I never really compete. It was the first time I had competed in about 30 years.
