I was in the local supermarket some weeks ago when the checkout person asked me if I had found everything I had been looking for. I said "No, I didn't", which was true, and she didn't respond at all but just kept scanning my purchases. I buy lots of bike stuff online, though I have no complaints with my LBS's. Yeah, the "did you find what you were looking for" question is part of a script. I don't think the automatons have been trained what the response should be to "No."
