c'mon he's a nice guy and knows a lot about cycling, but he was also difficult at times. He contributed more knowledge than wit.
I think there's something to the umd theory, not so much that his posts were humorous, but that when he was difficult, threads spun off in entertaining directions.
That and I think some people don't post, or post as much after he was banned.
