I just think of them when I think of a full-service farm. Dunno why. Most places here are more specialized. You'll pass by Ridgefield Dairy, then Johnson's Christmas Trees, then Jones' Filberts, Mountain View Llamas, there's even a chicken poop specialist up the road. I love their sign, big chicken and the tag line "Chicken Manure, it'll GROW on you!"

I guess I could see hippies doing the diversified farm/bakery/dairy concept also.

I reckon I think the Amish are the only ones who work enough hours in a day and have a big enough family to produce such a wide variety of products in one place and have enough surplus to sell to other folks.

This farm operation in UT might be totally different from the farms we have around here, I guess.
