The original post states the driver was doing 75 MPH. Closing speed would be close to 100 MPH. The driver is not going to stomp on his brakes and get back in line once he is going that fast. He is going to thread the needle at that point.

When it happened to me and I saw the guy was up to speed and already past 2 out of 3 vehicles, I got out of the way.
