If you do find that they will work, I have a great way to do it. I take the new rim and line up the valve holes and wire tie the two together. With the new rim on top, look at the spokes and find one that is on top of the others. Move it up to the new rim. Work your way around the rim moving every 4th spoke up. Then do the next layer. Then I flip it over and move the next layer down. Then the last. You will work around the rim 4 times.

The advantage of doing this if you are reusing the spokes is that they end up in the same position they were in. Less chance of them breaking later from bending different. I mostly do this if replacing an identical rim that was damaged, but as long as the ERD is the same or nearly the same, it works great.
