soldering as first used by the learned poster in post #4 is a poor choice of words. As applied to the subject at hand,the better term is brass or silver brazing. But as per Webster, braze: 'to solder together using a hard solder with a high melting point.'... Solder:'Something that joins or cements. To unite or repair things with solder.'
