But what about if (g*d forbid!) a motorist hits you riding your bicycle and you can't work for the rest of your life and deal with chronic pain and hospital bills? Its pretty scary from the victim's perspective that the minimum coverage is so low!!!
That would be my thought too... but apparently many don't see it that way.
