Ack! I've heard good things about Simplex before, but quite frankly that FD is a pain to adjust before it cracks or gives somewhere.

Is there a bicycle coop near you? I recently rebuilt a Peugeot with a similar FD, I ended up replacing it with a Suntour unit that adjusted in a more common fashion. =)
