I did exactly this and ended up with a pair of Dave-O's for less than the price of one new one. Also bought one of their chrono cages on ebay and got the bottle for it locally. Such amazing cages, there's something distinctly solid about the cages that most of the other's I've used lack (due to the foam core?).
I agree these cages are solid. What prompted me to buy Arundel is that I replaced my metal cages with carbon cages I bought off of Ebay. After a few weeks of use, I lost a bottle. That was it. I sold them on Ebay and bought the used Arundels off of Ebay. I never lost a bottle with Arundel cages. It is extremely easy to pull a bottle and put the bottle back into the Arundel cages.
