A few months of climbing will make your legs last much longer on hills.
Hills are great... standing is fun.
Unless you have to follow someone who's going faster.
When you have to match speeds with someone who's lighter and stronger, on a lighter bike in order to stay in the draft so you don't get dropped on the next flat, it becomes a lot less fun.
Also, a hill that's so steep you can't go up it without standing and pedaling perfect circles on a 32X27 is not much fun either. Unless it's really short.
