Plenty of poor flat critters on the country lanes in the UK, but the wierdest thing that I have seen on the road was, on a couple of occasions, a steam traction engine, in full flight at about 4mph. It was also the most imposing, slow moving and un-nerving thing that I have ever had to overtake. This is only down to the size of the thing, and the fact that it was breathing smoke and steam
.The driver was very polite and helped me pass - and these are gorgeous machines. I would love to create chaos in the town centre with one of those rumbling beauties
