Hoping to intimidate motorists into respecting cyclists by riding past their houses a few times sounds a bit queegish. Like Tom Vanderbilt outlines in the article, bicyclists are outliers in the US, and a lot of motorists are angry behind the wheel. There's always another raging cager that will be along shortly.
It's systemic.
What's also systemic are more normalized interactions between cyclists and motorists in places where cycling is a popular, everyday activity. In places where a third of all daily trips are undertaken by bicycle, everyone either is a cyclist or knows a cyclist and works and lives near and with cyclists, hoardes of cyclists on a daily basis. The outlier effect is noted to be minimal in Copenhagen.
Gee Bek, you managed to get 3 rants from other threads cross threaded to here. Rather obsessive and trollish of you.
