Mine quit registering the other day.... seems I nicked the relay wire with the last wheel chg. I slide the computer from the bracket and the battery close door and battery bounced across the pavement in the wind. I figured the unit toast as it'd been on that bike for so long I forgot when it went on. Inspection at home showed that close door stripped.. done in. Yet the battery is fine.. worked fine holding it in.

So.. I wadded some electrical tape.. set it on the battery as installed... pushed the close door on.. and laid another piece of elect tape over that door for a seal. It protruded enough to contact the bracket firmly.. holding it nicely in place. Unit works fine... as always.. this 'repair' 5-6 trips ago. Looks go to go...

Anyone have any of these older PTI computer units laying around? This one is 7-9 yrs old I think.. silver color rim.. only sez PTI outlined in black on the front. NO numbers anywhere........ does what I want. Don't have to scramble to find instructs when I chg the battery etc.........
