Thanks for the input but its a square taper(y'know just like I said),I am aware there is an octolink version but this is not the one I am after nor is Craig as I believe he has the same one as me with the fixed & adjustable cups the other way round to normal(with the adjustable on the drive side), weird I know.
This Shimano BB seems to be rebuildable as there is a narrow nut & threaded section on the non-drive side(another reason I beleive mine & Craig's are the same BB)
Like I said the drive side tapers are noticeably fatter than the non -drive side(again very weird) so I am going to try a 127mm standard Shimano BB with my Tracer crank & will post again if this works.
I can see from the original posts that I am reaching back through time somewhat but,Craig did you ever sort out your BB issue?
I think that`s a pretty good reference.
I dug up my info from J E Cycles in the UK and they not only had that model listed in the Octalink section - they even had a photo of an octalink BB posted as a reference. The problem with all that is that it could all be due to a bad link.
Yeah - I expect the OP probably got his own issues sorted out. Have you looked at UN51 / 71 / 91 BB to see if the square tapers are compatible with what you have?
