Is it the brightest available? No, but if a driver is not going to notice this are they going to notice the next brighter taillight? For the price difference of >$150 I can buy both the Radbot 1000 and also a very bright, highly noticeable reflective wind/rain jacket like
THIS with removable sleeves and still have plenty of money left over.

You must consider the Radbot 1000 as completely worthless I guess.
