Have no experience with the Raleigh, but can find no references to brazeons for loaded touring. In theory you can tour on any bike if you have full support from a car or truck so it depends on what you have in mind.

If the references to Sora equipment on that bike are correct however, thats the bottom end of Shimano`s road groups.

The LHT already has a rep based on equipment and performance. It`s built and equipped for loaded unsupported touring. The last one I ran into (last year) was a fellow from California who had driven with his buddy up to Canada, done the ?aratime tour and then driven back. When he got back to California, he e-mailed to confirm there were no reliability incidents on the entire trip. I figure the trip was about 10,000 kms.
