I am new to cycling and have been commuting on a cheap hybrid for the past 6 months or so. I decided to buy myself a Road Bike with a bonus check I got from work. I only had about $500.00 to spend and I wanted a steel road bike. I was excited to come across Giantnerd.com selling the Steel Tommaso Tiempo for under $500.00. They use the following in their description: "The Tiempo is your answer to riding smooth ribbons of road as the classic smaller diameter chromoly steel tubes provides added quality and comfort". The Tommaso web site lists the frame as "Compact Chromoly Frame". Great!!! Just what I was looking for!! I purchased the bike and couldn't wait to get it. The day I received it I came across a review that listed the frame as hi tensile steel. I posted a question on Giantnerds website asking if the the frame was hi-ten and they replied back that they had switched the frame over to Hi-Ten.

The Bike does ride nice and smooth. It sure doesn't feel like the Hi-ten department store schwinn I had when I was a kid (80's). Anyone have any experience with the Tiempo?
