Focus on getting a clean start, foot in pedal... I've seen lots of strong riders dropped at the start as they struggle with the pedal (nerves).
The pace will probably feel incredibly fast at first. If you're still in the pack after 15-20 minutes it should ease a bit.
If there's a crash, don't look back. Keep your eyes up the road at all times.
+1, 15-20 seems to be a magic number in the crits I'm in.
