^ That's the catch. There's always a catch, because claims require all else being equal, and the real world almost never has all else being equal. There's also a limit to how high a pressure you can run before the bouncing slows you down, but that depends on the road you ride on as well. That being said, I have no idea where the air pressure vs. tire width would make the 2 tires equal, but you're right that it's really just a trade-off. Since my weight and road conditions like about 100 psi anyway, I figure the 25mm width is helping, although just like you, I'm too slow to really care.
