And very few cyclists shave their arms either, though you're just as likely to get road (or trail rash) there. The fact is, shaving does nothing to help road rash heal.

It's been said many times, but leg shaving is purely for vanity and has somehow become part of the cycling mystique and culture. But nothing more. It doesn't make you go faster, doesn't make road rash heal faster (or better), doesn't affect getting leg massage nor the application of sunscreen (those are the cover-up reasons commonly given).
