I just bought what I was told was a 1995 GT Timberline mtn bike. I was told the frame is made of Titanium. Is there anyway of knowing for sure? Also I would like to upgrade the drive train from 7 to 8 speed. Is this possible, will the frame need to be stretched by the shop, will the front and rear derailuers need to be replaced? I looked in the archives and couldn't find anything like this related to Titanium.
