Anyone ever convert an In-Step child trailer to cargo?

So i have this In-Step 2-kid trailer. Aluminum tubing, nylon everywhere. The kids are a too big any more, and I don't want to shell out a bunch of $$ for a cargo trailer - thoughts on things I can do to the In-Step to make it useful to haul good sized loads like groceries, glass bottles to the recycling, picnic supplies, etc?

I was thinking I could strip off most/all of the nylon and either bolt or lash on some more aluminum tubing for a platform, but that's about as far as I got in my pondering - thought I'd hit the BF collective up and see what happens.

TIA - ZManT
