Probably IT pain. Have you recently upped your intensity or duration or riding? You need to stretch it and not ride until the pain is gone. Google IT stretches. My favorite is to use a towel. I lay on my back with my leg in the air, towel wrapped around it, and pull it to the opposing side. Take it easy, or it won't go away.
