I'll agree that the Pasela's run a bit larger than other brands.

I'm using the 27 x 1 on my Motobecane, that came with 27 x 1 1/4 tires on it. They are a tad narrow, but not so narrow that I worry about it.

The 27 X 1 1/4 Pasela TG's I had ended up rubbing the FD clamp on the same bike. So yes they run larger than average.
