First off, let's start off with my sob story. I have a 2010 Jamis Xenith Comp. The original seat post that came with it broke. Basically the head can rotate now

because it's a two piece seat post. I guess this is one of those few times that by having an extra feature is not a good thing. I'm assuming that this happened because I keep forgetting to unclip when I stop and me falling

; I fell three times so far, luckily no injuries. Yes, I actually thought that I don't have cycling shoes on(I'm new to it) when I stop, or I should say, I forgot that I had cycling shoes on

.
Anyway, let's get to the real problems here. I'm looking to replace it and I really don't know what to get. By the way, my post is 31.6. I've search through the forums already and I really couldn't find any threads that is quite gear towards the answers I'm looking for. Some of those thread are pretty old too. So here's my questions:
Is there any difference(especially performance) between a Carbon seat post vs other material(ie. Aluminum, Scandium, and etc)? If yes, what are the differences?
Since my frame is full carbon, what should I get, carbon or other material, and why? I know this is more of an opinion based question, but please give me your reasoning in detail. If there's actual data, please provide research material or professional source if possible.
So far after reading through several threads and doing some light research on google, I have two possible candidates for my replacement. They are the KCNC Ti Pro Lite and the Thomson Elite. Which one should I get and why? Other recommendation would be nice and is extremely welcomed, please also include a why. Once again, I know this is an opinion based question, but please use the conditions provided on the question above.
The KCNC Ti Pro Lite's head and tube are one piece or two piece?
I've also read that the bottom plate from Thomson is compatible with the KCNC Ti Pro Lite, and it's suppose to relieve the stress that's being placed onto the saddle rails. Can someone show me an image of the bottom plate alone and installed onto the KCNC Ti Pro Lite(if possible). Does it actually help and how much more weight does it add on?
Can someone please provide me a link to where I can purchase the bottom plate from Thomson?
Guess that's about it for now concerning seat posts. Thanks a lot in advance for reading through this extremely long post.
P.S. Anyone know where I can get some quality blue cable sleeves?
